NSBE Seattle Trailblazer Award
The NSBE Seattle Trailblazer Award is a prestigious recognition presented to individuals who have made remarkable contributions to the engineering and technology fields, while embodying the core mission and values of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
This award celebrates excellence, innovation, leadership, and a commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the STEM community. Recipients of this award are distinguished for their outstanding achievements, visionary leadership, and their dedication to creating positive impacts through engineering and technology.
The NSBE Seattle Trailblazer Award stands as a symbol of inspiration and aspiration, honoring those who have not only excelled in their professional pursuits but have also actively worked towards a more inclusive and equitable future in the engineering and tech industries.
Award recipients will be publicly announced at the NSBE Seattle Gala on Feb 1st, 2025. Award recipients will be invited to attend the Gala to receive their reward.

Applicant Requirements
Nomination Deadline: To apply for a 2024 NSBE Seattle Trailblazer Award, please complete the following application by Dec 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
Eligibility: Nominees must be professionals working in the engineering or technology fields in the Seattle or Washington area.
NSBE Mission Alignment: Nominees should demonstrate a clear alignment with the mission and values of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
Professional Achievements: Nominees should have a track record of exceptional achievements and contributions to their respective fields.
Innovation: Nominees should have a history of innovative work or leadership that has made a significant impact in the engineering or tech sector.
Diversity and Inclusion: Nominees should actively promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the STEM community.
Community Impact: Nominees should have a history of community involvement and positive impacts related to engineering or technology.
Nomination: Nominees may be self-nominated or nominated by others. Nominations should include a detailed statement explaining why the nominee deserves the award.
African American or Black Heritage: Applicants should self-identify as African American or Black.
Supporting Documents: Nominees should provide supporting documents such as a resume, portfolio, articles, or recommendations to substantiate their nomination.
