NSBE Seattle Scholarship Application
The NSBE Seattle Professionals College Scholarship was established to support Black & African American students pursuing an engineering or STEM degree within the greater Seattle area. This scholarship is provided by the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) Seattle Professionals Chapter, and is funded through support of our membership and various partners.
To apply for a 2025 NSBE Seattle Scholarship Award, please complete the following application by Dec 1, 2024 at 11:59 pm.
Applications will open on Oct 15, 2024.
Award recipients will be publicly announced at the NSBE Seattle Gala on Feb 1st, 2025. Award recipients will be invited to attend the Gala to receive their reward.
Applicant Requirements
Demographic: Applicant demographics: High school seniors with a 3.0 or higher or College (undergraduate or graduate) students with a 2.5 or higher. Submission of an unofficial transcript is required.
Residency: Applicants must be residents of the greater Seattle, Washington area or be enrolled in an accredited institution located within the state of Washington.
African American or Black Heritage: Applicants should self-identify as African American or Black.
Field of Study: Applicants must be able to demonstrate they are pursuing a degree in engineering or related STEM fields, such as computer science or mathematics.
Short Essay Statement: Applicants are required to submit responses to three statements
